Role of Department

The Corporation sub-lease the plots to its shareholders by recovering the development charges for providing basic infrastructure like water supply, sewer lines, roads, etc.

The Engineering Department carry out the development works. The al-round construction work viz. construction of houses, shops, commercial buildings, parks, etc. is also undertaken by the Engineering Department.

The estimates of the works taken up by the Corporation are based on Kandla Port Trust’s Schedule of Rate. There are panel of registered Contractors in the Corporation. Only registered Contractors are eligible for taking the work.

The tender procedure for opening is same as per PWD, CPWD, KPT and other reputed Organisations.

The Corporation follows standard specifications of Bureau of Indian Standards, CPWD, MORTH, etc.

The Corporation has taken up large number of works for constructing houses, shops, commercial buildings, parks, water supply, sewer lines, road works, etc. Even sources of water supply for whole city had been created by the Corporation.
